What I Wore- Florida (and what we ate!!)

July 12, 2019 by Sharon

It’s Fashion Friday!! I don’t feel very fashionable lately, but I do love clothes. I’m trying to gain more followers, and doing fashion posts get quite a few followers so I keep doing them!! I’d love to know your favorite travel tips and travel outfits!! Comment and let me know!!

We had a great time on our trip to Florida for a conference that Dr. T attended! It was hot, hot, hot, and I loved it!! Here are a few things I wore while we were there!! ( And, some things we ate!!)

Travel Outfits
Travel Day clothes. This was super comfortable, and I received a lot of compliments!!

Dr. T’s days consisted of all-day meetings! My days consisted of a great morning workout and pool time every day!! It was very relaxing for me!!!

I actually got to see him more on the trip than I do at home because he works such long hours. We found some fun restaurants!!

Our first night, we ate at Hash House A Go Go. Isn’t that the greatest name?

This was a fun place because the presentation of the food was spectacular!! We sat there and watched how each plate looked as the waitstaff took trays to tables!! That is rosemary in that burger!!
Our second day was our only completely free day. I couldn’t stand the thoughts of being in Florida and not going to the beach, so we drove an hour to Cocoa Beach. I was a little disappointed. The water was not very pretty, but we still had a great day. It was hot and extremely crowded!!

Pasta straws were great, but when they brought us more water, she brought a new plastic glass.
That really disappointed me!! I’m trying to do better with waste!!

I got the lobster hoagie when we ate at the Pier. It was delicious!!!

Sunset view at our hotel!!
The conference reserved a section of Universal Studios City Walk for the attendees. We had food from Bob Marley’s restaurant, Pat Obrien’s, and a Karaoke Bar. It was a fun night!! I went extremely casual and wore jean shorts.

Dr. T is always joking around!!
We waited to celebrate our 4th anniversary until we were there. We found a beautiful steak and seafood restaurant called Moon Fish. It was beautiful inside, and the food was delicious.

I wore this jumpsuit I bought at Target. It is very comfortable!! Similar one here.

Travel Outfits
I felt that the back was a little low for my age! I love the new bralettes that are available now. I think it helps girls maintain some modesty since clothes today are so revealing, and the fabric is so thin and see-through!!

Terrible picture, but this came with our dessert!!

Another night we went to Icon Park where there is a huge Observation Wheel. We ate Mexican food and had a great time people-watching in this fun area.

I wore this dress I picked up at Zara (see my post here). This dress is now on sale. I loved wearing it!!

I also got many compliments while out in this dress. It was great for the heat and humidity of Florida!!

Is there a theme here? Dr. T is always joking around!!

This was a very family-friendly area. We had a great night!
This observation wheel is the largest on the east coast. It looked really hot to me. We didn’t ride it. I couldn’t tell if the cars had AC.

Our last night we had a great Italian meal. I was so in the moment that I didn’t take any pictures!! I still want to share this place in case any of you are planning a trip to Orlando. Fresco Cucina Italiana is a must-visit restaurant.

I admit that I can be a snit when it comes to restaurants. I would much rather eat at a locally owned restaurant instead of a chain. This restaurant is local, and the food was delicious!!

The Bruschetta was delicious!!

They were so busy we just ate at the bar. It was so cozy, and the bartenders were so attentive to us. It was a great experience. I can’t recommend it enough!!

I get to travel to another beach destination in August when I tag along to another conference. I’ve bought some things I can’t wait to share!!
