Things Piquing My Interest on this Peak of the Week!

October 7, 2020 by Sharon

Here is a list of things piquing my interest on this Peak of the Week! It’s not Hump Day, it’s Wednesday! It’s all downhill from here!

Things Piquing My Interest on this Peak of the Week…

Pretzel Nuggets

Let’s just get down to the nitty gritty- Carbs are what is getting me through COVID-19!! I love pretzels. If you have ever made pretzels, I’d love to hear from you. I’m nervous about making them!!

Pumpkin Scones

Let’s just keep going with carbs!! Carbs are always piquing my interest, and I love these! We used to have the cutest British shop here in town, but unfortunately he had to close his doors during COVID-19. He sold these scones, and I always bought them. You just add water. They make the whole house smell like the most magical place you’ve ever been. I have an order coming this week!! (affiliate link)

Signs of Soul Exhaustion

We’ve all been there— our souls just feel tired. It can some from many different tragedies. I wanted to share because although you may not feel all 30 of these things, it’s important to realize that it is real. Acknowledgment is the first step to healing!!

You Should Break Up With Me

My daughter actually sent me this story a couple of nights ago. She said I should share it on my blog. If you read nothing else, please read this! It’s a beautiful story. It reminds me of some of the wedding announcements I used to read from the NY Times. Every Sunday afternoon, I sat and read the Times online– mostly just for the wedding announcements. If you’ve never read them, you have missed out!!

Eddie Van Halen- Dead

This really makes me sad. I had such a crush on him in my teen years!! Does this mean I’m getting old?

What to read next, after you, links I love, things piquing my interest
I just started After You. The 2nd book in a trilogy. Me Before You was so good!! I just started this. I love reading trilogies! It can be purchased HERE. (affiliate link)

Area I’m working On In The House

I’m just trying to get books put away. I always tell people that when I moved in with Dr. T after we got marries, all I brought with me were my clothes and my books!! You know I love clothes, but I love my books even more. I brought even more books back from the house in Texas this last trip. I have no more bookshelf space!! I’m going to have to get creative!!

What I’m Watching

We just finished the last season of Alone last night. We need something good to watch. Let me know if you have any suggestions. We are waiting for the new seasons of This Is Us and The Voice!! But on my own, I’m watching Les Mills on Demand. If you need a good workout from home, I highly recommend it. I started up with BodyPump again yesterday, and I’m so sore today. But I have to admit that… It Hurts So Good!!

And finally, Thank You all so much for being so nice and sweet to me!! I cannot believe how many of you I heard from after my first Facebook Live. I then felt that I needed to get on Instagram and share about my new series that I’m planning for the blog in November, Waiting Well. Again, I heard from several of you!! I appreciate your support so much. I suffer from Impostor Syndrome a lot. Your encouragement means so much!!
