Things Piquing My Interest On This Peak Of The Week

March 24, 2021 by Sharon

It’s Wednesday! The Peak of the Week. Here are some things piquing my interest on this beautiful day!! What’s piquing yours?

Snowfall a few months ago!

The number one thing piquing my interest today (I’m writing this on Tuesday afternoon) is SNOW! We are expecting 3-8 inches of snow tonight. It’s sunny today, but the clouds are starting to move in! I’m ready to step outside and feel warmth! However, I know that won’t really happen until May so I might as well embrace the snow!! I’m ready!!

I’m sharing snow pictures in this post because that’s how I’m psyching myself into being happy about the snow. It will be so beautiful and peaceful!!

Here’s What’s Piquing My Interest This Week!

Fishing group spots large orca pod off Galveston coast

IF you live in Texas, you’ve seen this story. If you don’t, you might have missed it. Amazing!! One of the most touching things to me is found in the Youtube video in this post. the two friends put their arms around each other– you can just feel them saying to each other– “We got to share this with each other!!” Love it!!!

I visited a San Antonio ‘living land museum’ you can only access 2 Saturdays a month

I’m fascinated by this article. I never knew this living land museum existed!! Sounds like a great place to explore. I’d love to see the herd of longhorns too!!

The Invisibility of Older Women

Such an interesting concept! I have a friend who talks to me about this quite often. I think that’s another reason why I write this blog. I’ve seen so many women wonder “what now?” after their kids leave. There is so much life to be lived as we age! I think women become much more uninhibited the older we get!!! Now Choose Life!! Thoughts?

Perfect Salad Bowl

I used this salad bowl for the first time today. It’s made from bamboo and is perfect for keeping salads fresh!! Check it out!!! I love it.

Beautiful!

What I’m Reading-

Can be purchased HERE.

I finished this book over the weekend. I ended up really liking it. Different from the escape nonfiction that I usually read. A simple yet gripping story of a preacher in the 1950s. Reminded me of how scrutinized preachers and their families are!! Good story!!

Can be purchased HERE.

I’m in the middle of the 3rd book in this series. I love these Hilderbrand novels. They are so easy to read, and it’s always a good storyline!!

What I’m Watching

Can be purchased HERE.

I just got this in. We are going to watch it to prepare for Easter! Have you seen it? I’d love to know what you thought.

Area of our home we are concentrating on

Our landscapers will be here in a week!! We are having our backyard landscaped. Two seating areas, retaining walls that will also be for flowers, and a fence to section off the garden. I can’t wait. I plan on living out there this summer!
