It’s Wednesday! The Peak of the Week. Here are some things piquing my interest on this beautiful day!! What’s piquing yours?

First, sadness, funk- throw in some sorrow. That’s what’s been going on with me this past week. A friend’s breast cancer diagnosis, Texas family dealing with the unprecedented weather, someone we love being hospitalized- not able to have the surgery she needs because of the boil water restrictions ( the ripple effects of the Texas power outage will be seen for a while), a friend’s husband’s cancer diagnosis. All of these things happened within a couple of days… it’s been a lot!
Process, Pray and Power through! That’s what we do, right? But sometimes the power through is exhausting. I have three emails that I really need and want to write, but I have no words. Two are replies from friends around the country that I rarely talk to. One is an email of support that I want to write to someone, but so far, the words don’t come. I’m a little numb, but I will find the words and explain it all when I write them.
I sense God telling me once again to Be Still so that’s where I’ve been for a week. No posts. No words. Stillness and Silence—
Are you there, God. It’s me, Sharon…
Can you relate? I’d love to hear from you if you can!!
But enough about me… here are some links I’ve been thinking about this week.
Tx. Couple Takes in Delivery Driver for 5 Days After Her Car Got Stuck in Their Yard During Storm—
I love this story so much. My sister and I talked about all the people who were opening up their homes to others during the terrible Texas storm. We both said how hard it would be, but hoped that given the circumstances, we would do the same!

My New Favorite Product
After sharing how much I love Origin’s Salt Scrub a few weeks ago, I found this on Amazon. It is definitely a small business. The packaging was personal, plus she emailed me to make sure I knew exactly how to use this product. I’m sold and can’t wait to try others.
A Season of Promise
I love this article on Lent. I plan to share what I’ve given up for Lent. It’s unusual, but much needed in my life. What have you done for the season of Lent?
What I’m Reading–

I’ve told you about the Pantsuit Politics podcast. Two friends, one Republican and one Democrat. They talk about issues– and no one if mean to the other!! It’s quite refreshing. This is their new book.
We’ve been trying to watch a movie every weekend. We watched on this past weekend the Dr. T and I both agreed was THE WORST movie we’ve ever seen!! But here are some others that we’ve liked.

When we feel so much are called to be there for others, it’s good to remember to refill your own well. Your heart is so big.
I wonder if I could bring a stranger into my home for five hours let alone five days . Those people are amazing.
Thank you for the article on loss. I’ve been missing my sister and best-friend a lot this week. I’ve also regressed to a bit of anger and overwhelming sorrow my sister isn’t here with me when I need her more than ever.
God Bless You for your lovely blog
Thank you for taking the time to respond! I know life can be hard!! I always like to hope I would do the “right thing.” I’m sorry you’ve been missing your sister. Grief is a hard, weird thing!!
