Things Piquing My Interest On This Peak Of The Week!

February 10, 2021 by Sharon

View From My Morning Walk

It’s Wednesday! The Peak of the Week. Here are some things piquing my interest on this first week of February!!

I got some really sad news about someone whom I think the world of! He’s going to be OK, but it made me realize once again how fragile life is. If you are a person of faith, please lift up my friend, Mike! He is a big believer in prayer, and I know he would appreciate it.

OK- I’m sharing how weird I can be with this one! I have had this song stuck in my head for over a month. Why? I have not heard this song in years. Why in the world would it come into my mind now? Except that the line, “And I need you more than want you
And I want you for all time”
There is so much packed into those two lines! How much do you need someone in your life if you need them way more than you want them and you want them for all time? I love it so much that I’m writing those lines in Dr. T’s Valentine’s Day card. It sure expresses how I feel about him!

I still don’t really understand what the song means, but I sure remember swooning over Glen Campbell when I was a young girl!

If this song gets stuck in your head, be sure to let me know!! But don’t blame me!!

Click HERE to see what I just ordered from Origins. I was shocked to see how different the packaging is now from the last time I bought it. The great thing about this product is that is could be a great Valentine’s Day gift for your husband. I say this because it’s really for you, but your husband will love it too. I realized this the time I went into a store in San Antonio to buy it and they were sold out. The sales woman told me that it was sold out because it was hunting season in Texas. Women always buy it for their husbands during hunting season!! Check it out!!

Are of our home I’m concentrating on- Our stairs. I can’t wait to share this project with you! It’s a special one. Pictures and the project to come.

What I’m watching- We watched Bridgerton or what I call it, Pride & Prejudice & Pornography. I loved the story and the set and costumes. But, it makes me so sad because my mother can’t watch it, and she would love it. If you have watched you, please read Pride & Prejudice! Those scenes were not common for the time period. Much was left to the imagination as it should be!!

What I’m Reading– Elin Hilderbrand’s Winter Street Series.

Can be purchased HERE. I read one of these without knowing it was part of a series. I still loved it, and until I saw on my library app that there is a series really couldn’t tell, but I do recommend reading them in order!!
