Things Piquing My Interest #91

March 14, 2023 by Sharon

Things Piquing My Interest #91 is the March edition. March is flying by just as the months before it! I guess there is no slowing down life at this point. I just need to learn to live in the moment.

My pastor recently spoke on putting down our devices. You can listen to it here.

It’s still winter outside, but inside my house is ready for spring!

Well Educated Mind Reading List– I love lists like this! I like to see how many of the books I’ve read. I’m saving this one, and maybe I’ll try to read as many of these as I can.

Blooms To Prosper– My blogging friend, Melba, is starting a course on mental health and gardening. Anyone who gardens knows that Gardening Is Good For The Soul. Details are in this post. You can also follow her on social media!

Mistakes Tourists Make While Visiting Santa Fe-I found this interesting since I live so close to Santa Fe. If you are planning a trip, check this out. Also, if you are planning a trip, be sure to check with me!!

The Importance Of Mental Nutrition-I have read Dr. Weil’s articles and books for years. He is the first person I ever heard say to not listen to the news to help with your mental help. News fasting is something that I’ve implemented in my own life. Here are some other things to strengthen your mental health.

23 Books To Read Before They Are Made Into Movies Or TV Shows- Let’s get to reading!!

Don’t forget to shop my Amazon Storefront!

Favorite Things

Here are some of my favorite things right now.

I love this bunny pillow so much! Buy it here. It makes my heart so happy that I heard from several of you that you bought it for your grandchildren.

I can’t tell you how perfect these Spanx jeans are for me. If you saw my stories, you know that I suggest that you try them on in a department store. I have a pair of wide legged petite in medium, but I tried on the petite small in these. I love the fit, and I love how they hold in my stomach!! You can see them here.

Area of Concentration

I’m concentrating on cleaning out old clothes that I no longer wear. My life is totally different that it was 8 years ago. I no longer need “work clothes.” Plus, I just really don’t want so many clothes. I’m trying to downsize, but it’s hard for someone who loves clothes!

What I’m Watching

This is my and Dr. T’s 2nd time to watch this documentary. I love The Beatles, and it was so special to see them come up with some of the lyrics to their songs! I love everything about this show! Watching Paul sing Let It Be (a song about his late mother) for the first time for the is priceless.

What I’m Reading

This book has such an interesting premise. What would the world be like if we all knew when we were going to die?

I have always had so much respect for Beth Moore. I’ve done many of her Bible studies and read her books. Nothing prepared me to be as gutted as I was reading about her life. From her sexual abuse to learning more about her marriage. Beth has my utmost admiration! You can buy her memoir here.

I stumbled across this book and am so glad I did. I thought I was the only person who can tell you what book/books I was reading at any given time in my life!! I took screenshot of many pages of this book in my Kindle app so I can create a To Be Read list just from this book. Libby’s life story is remarkable!!

What I’m Listening To

The Bible Recap– I’m reading through the Bible this year. I’ve only done it one time before. There is something a bit different about this experience with The Bible Recap. I read our scriptures with other blog followers using the Youversion Bible App. I then listen to a commentary on what we’ve read with The Bible Recap. It’s never too late to join. I’ll promote it much more when we enter the New Testament.
