Things Piquing My Interest #88

December 15, 2022 by Sharon

My favorite Christmas decorations are my vintage Santa Mugs. I can’t wait to pull them out of the tub each year!

I love sharing things piquing my interest! Happy Peak of the Week/ Peak of the month.

AND

Merry Christmas!

The house is decorated. All presents are bought. I’ve led a GriefShare- Surviving The Holidays and hosted a Cookie Exchange. We have a party this weekend, and then we leave for Texas to spend time with family!

Last weekend our local horse stables welcomed the community to walk through. They had farolitos to guide the way and hot chocolate to keep us warm. I told Dr. T that I loved it because it made me think of the sights, sounds, and smells that Mary and Joseph experienced when Jesus was born. It was simple and no commercialism associated with this little event. It was perfect! I’m sharing some pictures!

Several barns were decorated

Here are a few things piquing my interest!

Taylor Swift Reveals Her Writing Process In Nashville Songwriter Awards Speech – I don’t listen to a lot of Taylor Swift, but the songs that resonate with me, resonate deeply!

5 Investment Bags That You Will Love And Wear Forever– Interesting article if you are into purses! I love purses and have spent way too much money on a few. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve changed my thinking. I will never buy another Louis Vuitton. They just don’t live up to the hype!

Farolitos lined the way

Polene– is one of my new favorites! A friend introduced me to this French designed purse line. I love them because they are made in Spain with the finest leather. They just opened up their first US store in NYC. Now I need to go to NYC to shop for my next one! (or Paris to shop)

Overcoming Childhood Sexual Abuse– I have never suffered from any childhood trauma and certainly not sexual abuse, but the statistics state that one in five children suffer childhood sexual abuse before the age of 18. If you or you know of someone who has suffered, please read this article. It describes a FREE retreat for women. I hope sharing this helps someone!

My Favorite Books Of 2022– I need desperately to find a book off of this list!

What I’m Reading

I’m so sad right now because I’m in a reading funk! I just can’t find a book to hold my attention. If you have any suggestions let me know.

I just started this book. I’ll let you know. It can be purchased HERE.

What I’m Watching

Harry & Meghan on Netflix. I just can’t look away.

Area Of Concentration

I’m working on our Family Calendar. I make one every year for my family, my sisters’ family , and my mother. It’s great fun, and we all love to see what pictures from the year were “calendar worthy.”

I wrote a blog post about our family calendar. You can read it HERE.
