There are so many things piquing my interest. How about you? Here are just a few of the things piquing my interest on this Peak of the Week/ Peak of the Month!
We are still hanging on to summer in the mountains of New Mexico. Our high today will be high 70’s. When it seems like you live 10 miles from the sun, that’s quite warm! There is so much going on with my family right now. I told a friend the other day that I feel like I’m strapped to a rocket, and am just flying through life, but it’s mostly good things with my kids! I’m so proud of them both!! We are moving forward in some other areas, and let’s face it, moving forward is not always easy. Change is good RIGHT?
We played tourist for a date night in Santa Fe this past weekend. Have I told you this area is not our forever home? When Dr. T retires, we have plans to move back to Texas. I’ve made it my mission to explore as much of this beautiful area as possible. That includes restaurants and museum. Living in a culinary, art, and opera mecca means I have so much to explore!

Here is what made the list this of things piquing my interest this week!
After the Trump Raid, Silence Is Not an Option for Merrick Garland– I’m not trying to be political! But I found this article interesting in that it mentions former aids to presidents who have mishandled classified information and what happened to them.
Modern Mrs. Darcy- Links I Love– Do you follow the Modern Mrs. Darcy, Ann Bogel on social media? I’ve followed her for years and love to see all the books she reads and recommends! Once a week she does a post similar to my Peak of the Week. Just sharing what she’s found interesting. Here is her latest!
Thistlekeeping– Another Links I Love post! This is another account you should follow if you don’t already. KariAnne is so fun to follow! I’m also part of her blogging group and have met some AMAZING women from around the country!!
Youversion Bible App– This is my new favorite thing. I’ve has this app for years and used it some. In July, my church did a bible study using this app. We read through the book of John during the month. It meant so much to me! I now have my mother, my sister, and my daughter in a group on the app, and we are doing studies together. Most studies are just a few days and take 5-10 minutes to do each day!! You must try one of their bible study plans!!

What I’m Reading
I’ve seen this book on so many lists. I’ve just started it, but I’m already hooked. It shows $4.99 on Amazon at the time of this posting. What are you waiting for?
There are several layers to this book. Rich woman whose son, Finch (named after Atticus Finch from To Kill A Mockingbird) gets in trouble for posting a picture of a passed out girl at a party on Snapchat. She has to decide if she is going to stand by her son or stand with the truth.
I’m still reading this for my long distance book study with my friend in Texas. This book is like a therapy session!

Worth Buying
I’m still loving these jeans! Can be purchased HERE. Believe me when I say- They are worth it!! I bought the petite, but I think they sent regular length so I had them hemmed. I’m in the M, but I will probably buy a small for winter. I think I’m in between sizes!

All summer, I’ve been wearing two powders that I love! I just put on my sunscreen and layer these two powders on top. First, dab your brush on this highlighter. Then, dab the brush on this powder. Dab both on your brush before applying. Layering these two powders have giving my face a great glow!

What We Are Watching
The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix
Better Call Saul- finished it last night. I’m going to miss those characters.
Area Where I’m Concentrating My Energy
I’m thinking of fall decorating- I know, I know. It seems too soon, but I have some traveling coming up and I just need to get it done!
Past Posts From Now Choose Life
Falling Into Fall (2015)– I recently shared this, but I’m sharing it again. I’m so happy I’ve seen growth in this grief journey. As I said before- We grow through what we go through.
End Of Fall (2015)- When I found this post from 2015 recently, I thought to myself, “I’m so glad I write a blog. Even if no one reads it, I do. This post contains a special memory about my dad. I didn’t remember it until I just read it. I’m so glad I documented it on this blog!
And so I ask you the same question that my dad asked me in the above post- Are you happy? If not, this is just a friendly reminder that life is short. Don’t let insignificant stuff get in the way of your happiness. Life isn’t going to go as you have planned- I hate to break it to you. Live the reality of your life- Now Choose Life So That You And Your Children May Live!! Deut 30:19.
