Things Piquing My Interest #82

March 16, 2022 by Sharon

Peak of the Week
I live in a very beautiful place!

First of all, let me get you caught up on ME! I guess I won’t be a movie star after all. I was emailed about an extra part in the movie being filmed in the town in which I live. I guess I didn’t get back to them quickly enough because I never heard from them. Then, last Friday, they emailed me about a “featured” part playing an “asst. chief counsel.” I was so excited, and just as I was getting things together to take to the costume fitting on Monday, they emailed me to say that the part had been canceled. Oh well, I guess that is just how things go, but I was disappointed.

WWII era vehicles on the site of the filming of the movie about Oppenheimer.

Spring has sprung- at least inside my house. I’m working on a post to share some pretty spring things to any home.

We still have snow, but it’s melting!

Dr. T and I went on a great hike this weekend. Life has been stressful so we needed to just get out in nature for a bit. This was the perfect hike. I’ll share pictures along the way on this Peak of the Week/ Month while I’m sharing what’s been piquing my interest!

A Collection Of The Best Wordle Tips and Tricks– Do you Wordle? I do it sometimes, but certainly not every day.

Prunes For Strong Bones– Prunes are not my favorite, but I know I need to keep my bones strong. Not sure I can eat as many as this article recommends. How about you?

Packing For Paris With Only A Carry On- As hard as it sounds, I think it’s best to just travel with a carry on when traveling to Europe. Lost luggage can be a nightmare!

Old car. Even the historical society here wants info on this car. Dr. T and I think it’s Manhattan Project era, and no telling the story behind it.

What I’m Reading

Atlas Of The Heart– I’m still reading his as part of a book study with a friend in Texas as well as one with my old yoga instructor. I had a great epiphany this week when reading about anger! Maybe I’ll write about it!

The One Night and The Reunion by Meghan Quinn – Both of these are on Kindle Unlimited if you pay for that service. The One Night is a novella and a prequel to The Reunion. Both are mindless great escapes- if you are into that!! Not super excited about these, but I’ve started this set so I’m going to finish. The storyline is just very contrived, and I find myself rolling my eyes so much at the dialogue! Just a warning!!

Red Handed– This book will make you mad and sad! It doesn’t matter your political party affiliation on this one- both sides are in neck deep with China!

Below the “cave”, you can see where Indians who lived here centuries ago carved out a ladder in the rock!

What I’m Watching

Inventing Anna- This is really good. I love a true story!

The Kardashians- Hey- I admit it. I watch trash TV. I’ll be watching when Kim & Co are back on Hulu. I need something to watch when Dr. T watches sports!

What are you watching?

Area of Concentration At Home

I’ve switched my home décor to spring! My warm, winter bedding is gone, and my milkglass dishes have been replaced with my beloved Fireking! I’m just waiting until it is warm enough to plant my garden!
