Peak of the Week

It’s Wednesday, The Peak Of The Week!!! Here are some things that piqued my interest in the past week.

This past week has been a weird week. There have been several times where I just had to take a step back and question what in the world is going on. People never cease to amaze me!! Besides just some weird things that people in my personal life have done, people in the public eye have been insane.

For me, this was definitely the most perplexing, confusing, something that makes you go “What?” of the week. Our first lady was traveling to South Texas to visit children who had been taken away from their parents. She chose to wear this jacket that says “I really don’t care, do U?”  to get on the plane. Why?

My thoughts: She needs to fire those close to her who allowed her to wear this. It is evident that she has people working for her who are afraid to tell the emperor that there are no clothes. I have to admit that being from South Texas and still owning a home there- I was so happy she was going to see first hand what was happening. All of that excitement went out the window when I saw this. There is just no way to defend it.

Laura Ingalls Wilder’s name removed from book award–  I have so many thoughts on this. I have a post started on all of them!! But again, I just don’t understand. I do get it that times have changed- and changed for the better on so many issues, but to remove an author’s name simply because her work reflects how things were at the time period in which she lived is just beyond me.

But there were also some really good things this week. Here are a couple of them.

Carpool Karaoke– I love watching James Corden with Paul McCartney. I love the story he tells of writing “Let It Be.” I love The Beatles!!

Political Ad– This is a great ad by a woman in Texas running for office. I love it!!!

Happy Peak of the Week. It’s all downhill from here!!

Things Piquing My Interest #89

Things Piquing My Interest #89. Wow- 89 posts of sharing things that are of interest to me seem impossible, but I’ve been doing this for quite some time. 2023 Has One Goal

2023 has one goal. Be Healthier. That’s it. All I want for 2023 is to be healthier version of myself at the end of the year than I am at the beginning. Although it’s an easy phrase, it’s pack with so much meaning for me. Of course, I want to be healthier physically, but I’m […]
