Peak of the Week- 5-13-20

May 13, 2020 by Sharon

Well, there really isn’t anything new in my life. I feel like I’m slowly coming back into life though. It was such a weird time right at the beginning of quarantine. I had to have my routine bloodwork done this morning. It had to be fasting bloodwork so afterward, I stopped by Starbucks for a coffee. It made me feel so normal to get that coffee in my hand!! What have you done for the first time since quarantine that made you feel a little bit normal again!!

It is Happy Wednesday- The Peak of the Week!! Here are some things Piquing my interest this week!

The Loft– Big Sale- 80% off of some of their clothes in a Warehouse sale. Check it out!!

Hamilton to be streamed– Hallelujah!! I love Hamilton. It will be streamed on Disney+ on July 3rd.

Father and son charged in the killing of black Georgia jogger, Ahmaud Arbery. I’m keeping my eye on this outrageous case. I just don’t understand!! I ran earlier in the week and posted pictures with the #irunwithmaud and #irunwithahmaud.  If you do anything in the awareness of this case be sure to use the hashtags. We all need to keep this case in the spotlight.

Back to the Future- Reunited– Josh Gad is bringing a smile to our faces in his Reunited Apart series on Youtube. Episode 2 brings together Back to the Future!!  So Good!!

Best Banana Bread– I have made more Banana Nut Bread in the past 2 months than I have in the past 10 years!! I love this recipe. It is delicious and so moist!!

What I’m Reading– Get Out of Your Head by Jennie Allen
You’ll Get Through This by Max Lucado
                                 Me by Elton John
These are my most read right now. I’ve just started each of them. I guess it’s a good thing I have a lot of time on my hands!!

What I’m Watching– We always watch The Voice so We have been watching how creative everyone has to be to sing their songs from home!!

What I’m focusing on– Our closet has been emptied of all of its content!! And, that said content is all over the house. Dr. T has installed shelving at the top of the closet which was just lost space. He is now adding a shoe shelving unit that he has created for me. Hopefully, the project will be completed this weekend. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve found to help with organization.

Not much going on here!! I’d love to hear what’s piquing your interest!

I’m A Gandy! (Granny)

Yes! You read that correctly. Earlier this year, I became a Gandy. At least, that’s what I hope that my sweet little granddaughter and every grandchild after will call me!
