Merry Christmas- Sharing one of this year’s highlights!

December 19, 2020 by Sharon

Merry Christmas! I’m ending the year with this post and sharing one of my biggest highlights of the year- being shared on one of my favorite blogs!

Merry Christmas

Highlight of 2020

One of my biggest highlights of 2020 happened today. A link to my post on making Christmas trees out of costume jewelry was shared on a blog that I have followed for years- Thistlewood Farms. KariAnne not only writes this great decor blog, but she has led a blogging class I’ve been part of since August.

KariAnne is the real deal, and if you don’t follow her, please do so today. I love her style, but it’s her sweet personality that shines through with everything she does.

Every Saturday she creates a roundup post of things she finds around the web (like my Peak of the Week), and this week she added one of my posts. Sharing another person’s post is a huge blessing to anyone out there who shares their thoughts and ideas! So, thank you KariAnne! Little did I know when I joined your group that it would help me maneuver through a pandemic the way it has. Your group has kept me busy and thinking- which has been huge in my life!! What a great escape you, your group, and your blog have been for me!

I leave you and this strange year by wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and a wonderful 2021. I’m so looking forward to 2021. 2020 has taught us all a lot! I hope I allow what I’ve learned about myself to help me grow and change. I know that I certainly need to!!

Here’s to 2021

After her husband’s sudden and unexpected death, Sharon McCuistian found herself a widow at the age of 48. With two grown children in college, Sharon had to find a way to live in her new reality. She turned to the things she loved to help in her grief: faith, family, and friends. Her love of words and writing became the cathartic venue by which she began to process her loss. It is through her grief journey that Now Choose Life was born. Read More

Book Review- 2 Memoirs Not To Miss

I recently finished two memoirs that are not to be missed. Although the authors are worlds apart, they both inspired me to keep going through difficult circumstances. Two Memoirs Not To Be Missed The first memoir is Kathie Lee Gifford’s, It’s Never Too Late. Gifford tells stories from her long and wide-ranging career. From stories […]

Things Piquing My Interest on this Peak of the Week!

Here is a list of things piquing my interest on this Peak of the Week! It’s not Hump Day, it’s Wednesday! Many of you had a beautiful snowfall earlier this week. The mountains of New Mexico was missed. It is really dry here right now. Praying for moisture so we don’t have to worry about […]

2021- New Year, New Word My Word For The Year

I have a new word for 2021. New Year, New Word. I’ve written before that I kept the same word for many years (I guess really a phrase), and it was Still Waters. I wrote about it a little bit HERE. The events of 2020 helped cinch what my word should be. I was ranting […]

Happy New Year-I’m Hopeful For 2021

Happy New Year!! I’m hopeful for 2021. How about you? We have all been through a hard year, but I can say with certainty that 2020 doesn’t come close to the hardest year I’ve ever faced. I know many of you can’t say the same. I understand the pain of a most painful year, and […]
