I Got A Makeover!

August 22, 2020 by Sharon

Well, my blog got a makeover! I hope my social media posts weren’t too misleading! After many years of my blogging platform being mediocre at best, I decided to switch to WordPress! It is making a huge difference for me.

For the past 6 months I’ve been at a loss as to what I wanted to do with my space out in the world wide web. I’ve grown my Instagram and Facebook accounts. They are filled with writers some Christian some secular as well as others who have found my blog and chosen to follow me. However, my time spent on social media has not been fulfilling. I find that the less time I spend on social media, the better if feel mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Wanting to concentrate on my blog, but also wondering if blogging is a thing of the past, I have been in a quandary as to what to do. I desperately want to have a place to write down ideas. I want to grow a blog and not worry so much about Facebook or Instagram.

Enter Thistlewood Farms and KariAnne!! I have followed Thistlewood Farms for several years. I love KairAnne’s style, but more importantly, I love her heart. She is a super nice person, and that shines through in her blog.

A couple of weeks ago she mentioned that she loves blogging and was going to do a class on blogging. I signed up and have been part of an amazing group for a few weeks. I have learned so much in a short amount of time! If I learn as much in the next few months, well, I can’t imagine learning as much as I’ve already learned!

This has been a perfect fit for me. KariAnne is having us concentrate on our blog which is where my heart is! I am so thankful that I saw her post about her class. It has changed my life. I have something specific to think about every day. I feel as if I have a purpose to what I’m doing.

I used MiloTree out of Austin to help with the switchover from Blogspot to WordPress. They have been amazing. If you need help with starting a blog or switching your blog, I highly recommend them. Be sure to tell them I sent you!!

So here it is- my makeover! I hope you like it!!

Remember, if you want to continue to receive my blog posts through email, you must sign up on the right hand side of the screen.
