Christmas Home Décor Inspiration

Happy Birthday to my beautiful mother!! This post is for her because I know how she loves to decorate. I’m sharing pictures of homes around the country to give us all inspiration when decorating our own homes!! I love Christmas Home Décor Inspiration.

Opening a box of Christmas decorations can be opening an Pandora’s box of emotions. Each ornament represents a memory of years gone by, and sometimes those memories carry a bittersweet emotion. I think that’s why so many women forgo the ornaments past after a while and decorate the Christmas tree with all new ornaments- I certainly get it.

Today, I’m going to share photos of several houses that readers have graciously shared with me. Each home is as distinct as the personality who lives there. I love that. I hope it gives you a bit of inspiration for your own home!

My Sister’s Home

I love all her neutral colors with a pop of red!! My sister has had her house pretty much under construction since last May when her tile started popping up! The fact that she has her decorations up is a miracle!!

My friend, Susan’s Home

Talk about each Christmas ornament or decoration having a memory or sentimental value attached to it! Susan’s Christmas decorations do just that. I love houses that create a feel of Christmases past as they blend the old with the new.

Christmas Home Décor Inspiration

Let’s start with Susan’s tree and nutcrackers. Our community dance troupe does a performance of the Nutcracker every year. It is a Christmas highlight for our little town. Each year that Susan’s kids have danced in the Nutcracker she has bought them a souvenir! Now all their nutcrackers are proudly displayed on her mantel.

Her tree is adorned with ornaments from Christmases past, and the angel on top was made by her grandmother which topped her own tree for years. How special is that?

I love both of these collections. The Santas are an eclectic grouping! Her nativity scene is very special as well. Her grandmother, mother, and her all share a love for this particular creche. It is Santons of France. These beautiful figurines can be purchased in the United States. Below are a couple of links to explain.

My Mother’s House-

I don’t have a good picture of her main Christmas tree, but she has trees throughout her house. These are just a couple.
