Today, I’m sharing 2 songs to brighten your day. I love music. I have such good memories of singing all kinds of songs with my kids when they were little. Many of the songs we made up– “Luther Kitty” “Little Man” and “Sweetest Girl” were some of the hits back in the day!! The fact […]

Loved One’s T-Shirt Quilt- Life After Loss

loved ones t-shirt quilts

Life after loss is tricky. Although time and hard work help heal the wounds of grief, it’s always there. It lies under the surface, and sometimes it chooses to rear its ugly head. Most of the time when you least expect it. When I decided to give my kids their t-shirt quilts made from their […]

September 12, 2020 by Sharon

Things Piquing My Interest on this Peak of the Week!

It’s Inauguration Day. I’ve seen where many people say they will not watch the Inauguration today. I just don’t understand. I guess we all have different backgrounds by which we view the world, but my parents both stressed history so much in our home. I think we watch every event that was televised when I […]

Martin Luther King Jr.

I encourage you to do as I am doing today and read some of Dr. King’s speeches or sermons. I’m giving you a couple of links to some popular works. Khan Academy- Letter From A Birmingham Jail- lesson 7 Things You May Not Know About MLK’s “I have a dream speech.” I Have A Dream- […]

Book Review- 2 Memoirs Not To Miss

I recently finished two memoirs that are not to be missed. Although the authors are worlds apart, they both inspired me to keep going through difficult circumstances. Two Memoirs Not To Be Missed The first memoir is Kathie Lee Gifford’s, It’s Never Too Late. Gifford tells stories from her long and wide-ranging career. From stories […]
